I have a large, unique deck. Its 2 story wrap around with a 1970’s minimalist design. I had 2 other contractors look at it, and they declined as it was large and would be a 3-4 month job. They did not wish to commit to staying true or close to its original design and the intended look, which was a priority for me. I contracted with Mocciola Construction to repair it. It was badly rotting, and had been spot- repaired many times before I bought the house, and many things were out of alignment and not up to code.
Adam took his time, giving everything a full inspection to see if he could honor my requests. He brought Paul with him, and they spent almost a full afternoon taking measurements, pictures and inspecting, as well as discussing things with me in great detail.
No sales pitch, just the facts on what could be done and the general expense that might be incurred, depending on what I chose to do.(Materials railing systems, etc.) This impressed me, and I hired them. I’m glad I did. They did their best to honor my requests, and even came up with creative ideas to make the deck structurally stronger without changing the look.
My deck came out exactly as I had envisioned it, and I even saved a few bucks with their suggestions on types of wood. etc. I gave their names to all my friends, for good honest contractors are hard to come by, so when you find one, you wan to tell everybody.
Reasonably priced, and a lot a value for your dollar. The whole project was worry free, as Mocciola Construction performed like true professionals.
